Radiation Therapy-Induced Fibrosis (RTIF)
Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF) is the major factor
in the pathogenesis of fibrotic disorders. AltruGen has created
ALT-0701 to supress CTGF, and therefore inhibit the development
of Radiation Therapy-Induced Fibrosis (RTIF).
In addition
to preventing and reducing RTIF by supressing CTGF, ALT-0701
also sensitizes radiation-resistant tumor cells, making radiation
therapy far more effective. ALT-0701 not only improves quality
of life by eliminating RTIF, but can
also vastly improve
the efficiency and effectiveness of radiation therapy by
maximizing the dose of radiation and sensitizing radiation-resistant
tumors.
